You're just minding your business scrolling through Instagram and then boom, you see this image. You have no idea what it tastes like, but you know you want to try it.
What draws me to travel isn't the flying (I already fly way too much for work), or the hotels (I actually prefer hostels), but it's the "being there". The experience of it all. But...you can't always have that now can you?...Well I beg to differ.
One of my favorite parts about traveling is getting to do all the tours, reaching that point where all the temples and buildings look alike, and then just going about and seeing aimlessly, and of course, the food. It would be best if I could just travel without an itinerary, but I like doing those tours, just as I like the freedom of dropping an itinerary and just sleeping in or going to a cafe. I now know that I prefer the sketchy fried fish stands by the Bosphorus to any of the fancy restaurants near Taksim. And that I really don't like authentic Greek food and that hotel bars in Cancun don't understand the meaning of a pineapple allergy. And that I don't particularly like authentic Chinese food, but it made me love veggies again (probably something to do with all the MSG).
So without further ado, I'll assault your senses with a few pictures of food! Each of the photos is linked to the respective blogs, Happy (recipe-searching-and-then) Cooking!
