I figured I'll try something new and start sharing the songs I have on repeat during the week.
Some of these are new discoveries and others are songs/artists I've been sleeping on but just re-discovered. Happy Sunday! Hoping these songs are on repeat for you next week, and lighten the burden of the ever present work week.
Mapei's Don't Wait is an amazing old-school-esque jam that is simply lovely. Hozier's From Eden is just amazing. I heard Lone Bellow's Cold As It Is on one of those morning talk shows as I was about to change the channel, and only heard the last 30 seconds but I spent 5 minutes googling the lyrics I remembered till I found the song. Asa's Shine Your Light is what you need on those gloomy days when you just want to burrow your head in a hole and hide. And of course Wizkid's Ojuelegba...this is the Wizkid I love: Great beats, actually meaningful lyrics and a kind of chill that only Nigerians can put together.
